Gypsum Ceiling Board

PABCO® Gypsum's 1/2" Ceiling Board is a gypsum panel designed for ceiling applications where joist spacing is 24" o.c. PABCO Gypsum Ceiling Board has a rigid core and when tested to the ASTM C 473 humidified deflection test performs equal to or better than the allowable deflection permitted for 5/8" thick panels.

PABCO Gypsum Ceiling Board is available in 1/2" thickness, 4' wide by 12' long. Recessed edges are available either as round or tapered and allow joint tape and joint treatment to be applied to create a monolithic (flat) ceiling surface. PABCO Gypsum ceiling board, with the exception of its rigid core, is similar to regular gypsum wallboard and is applied and finished in the same manner. This product is also suitable for use on interior walls and partitions

PABCO Gypsum 1/2" ceiling board or PABCO FLAME CURB wallboard is applied perpendicular to ceiling framing spaced 24" o.c. as required by the International Residential Code (IRC) on ceiling applications.  It is then ready to receive water-based texture material, either by hand or spray applied.
